More Than One Reason Is Normal
People seek religious and traditional circumcision for many reasons. Faith and tradition may be accompanied by personal considerations such as hygiene, family custom, partner preference, comfort, foreskin concerns, or an appreciation of the health benefits associated with circumcision. A person does not need to have only one reason. For many people of faith, the practical and hygienic benefits associated with circumcision are viewed as consistent with a religious tradition that has endured for generations.
